Carousel

Nancy and I went to the zoo today (Eric and I became members so we will go a lot more now... plus it is only 15 minutes away from the house... another good reason it was to move to the north side of town) Since it is getting cooler out... around the 80's... (relatives up north would scoff... but it has been hot here… any relief is appreciated) Connor and I now are more apt to go there for a stroll whenever we like. .. I can't wait for November.. it is so nice here. Anyways… Here are some pictures we took. This was Connors first carousel ride... he seemed to enjoy it.

Exploration

Connor is now all around the house. This week he discovered how to travel to the bird room. For some of you that don't know, we have four birds: A Military Macaw, Merlin; a Senegal Parrot, Oliver; a Yellow Nape Amazon, Titus; and an Indian Ringneck, Ringo. I guess he went toward the bird noises. We keep the birds in one room of the house so their noise can be contained and also to separate them from Connor's immediate curiosity. I don't want him to get hurt and get a complex about them. It will take some time for the birds to get used to him as well... all of them, except for Oliver, are completely scared of him. Oliver is such a brave little bird that is oblivious to his size; I don't think that bird is scared of anything or any bird no matter how big... not even of Gromit... he actually attacks Gromit... it is quite the sight... I should probably put that on video. Well here are some pictures of Connor's exploration... Enjoy! I also included a picture of Gromit lounging on the sofa flipping through the channels like he always does.. hee hee. Gromit is Connor's buddy... he almost always gets caught in pictures with him.

Connor's Friend Logan

For some of you that may not know, my best friend from 5th grade, and my matron of honor, Shelley had a baby boy... an hour and a half before I did. What are the odds? I visited my parents this weekend and Shelley and I got together and decided to take pictures of the boys on the beach... until it started raining... so the picture selection was limited... maybe next time. :) ... enjoy!

Daddy's First Visit to the Zoo with Connor

So this Labor Day weekend we went to the Zoo. It was fun and hot be we enjoyed it all the same. Good thing the Zoo now has a play park with a splash ground for the kids.. Connor had a good ol' time. Also some big news... to us; Connor pulled him self up by himself on Sunday... he continues to impress us. Oh and for those we haven't told yet Connor started crawling the Thursday before last and that day after he started to sit up on his own from a lying down position. Exciting times.... pray for us!
